Drop meatballs into tomato sauce and stir in sugar; bring to a boil over medium heat. The meatballs were great; but, the sauce was VERY bland. This helped them retain there shape and to allow the grease to drip off. I added two additional garlic cloves but it was still bland.

  3. Add the pasta to the slow cooker and then cook for another 30mins-1hour until the sauce is nice and thick and the pasta is cook.

Now form the beef mixture into meatballs, I use roughly two tablespoons for each meatball. In a pan over high heat, fry the meatballs, so they're lightly browned. Once done, put to the side. In the slow cooker, add the garlic, BBQ sauce, and honey. Next, add the meatballs and coat in the BBQ sauce.
